Bo.Kappa Architects are based in Athens working all over Greece on a variety of building typologies and sizes.

At the heart of our studio lies the desire for elegance and innovation creating a statement through each of our designs. Each project is a unique opportunity to face new challenges and be creative. We believe that by thorough research we stay on top of the latest developments pushing the limits. Everyday research is vital for our industry.

Promoting responsible and environmentally considerate solutions is within our core principles. We seek to create constructions always considering the climate conditions and microclimate of the exact location, which are eventually reflected to the energy performance of the building. This means that we design for an optimised performance to reduce your energy bills at the end of the month. Additionally, we study the right materiality for the building's life span. Careful detailing, internally and externally, is critical for a high quality design and construction from day 1 and thorough the building's service life.

We design and build according to our Client's unique requirements and the geographical identity of the site.

Thalia Kakolyri

Thalia sees the world differently; caring about sustainability and exploring ways to minimize our environmental impact through architecture. She graduated from A.U.Th. in Thessaloniki (GR) in 2013 and attained the MSc in Building Technology from the Delft University of Technology (NL) in 2015.

Since then, she has been working initially in the Netherlands and then in ARUP London as Facade Engineer, expanding her architectural background. Among others, she has been involved in many landmark projects around the world. In 2020 Thalia decided to co-found Bo.Kappa Architects in Greece together with Marco.

Marco Bonanno

Marco is a pragmatist; keen for optimized spaces and always aiming for the best quality in the design and construction. He graduated from the University of Pavia (IT) in 2013 when he obtained his chartered title as engineer.

In 2014 he moved to London where he worked as Chartered Architect for multinational architectural firms, such as AECOM and ARUP till 2020 when he decided to co-found Bo.Kappa Architects based in Greece.

Marco has an extensive experience in large-scale projects with engagement from the early concept stages till tender.
